THE LETHBKIDGE DAILY HERALD Page ff I SOUTHERN ALBERTA'S BIG EXHIBITION AT LETHBRIDGE Zl) AUGUST 19th to 24th, 1912 Oldfield, world renowned speed king will give an Exhibition TUESDAY afternoon, Aug. 20th, at 3 o'clock. He will be accompanied by two companions will give some racing stunts that are hair raising. Oldfield states that the track is in such good condition that tie] believes he CAN BREAK THE WORLD'S RECORD and he is going out to do it. g} On TUESDAY AFTERNOON, beginning at 2 o'clock, the Y.M.C.A. will hold an Amateur Athletic Meet on the Track BIG PULLING CONTEST for double teairafoi- a purse of 00 will be held on Thursday. Magnificent Stock Parade will be Held on Thursday CITIZENS DAY AT THREE O'CLOCK The Free Platform Attractions Have been engaged direct from Chicago and will show at each Afternoon and Evening Performance. Over a Quarter-of-a-mile of RESPLENDANT MIDWAY will be located on the grounds. Big Evening Performances will be given Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Admission to gounds in the evening Free, and to any part of the Grandstand 25c. Evening Performances will begin at 7 o'clock and will include Horse Races, Hurdle Races, Horse Jumping Exhibitions, Auto Races by Local Sports, 'the en. tire Vaudeville Show, and numerous other attractions. Racing on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Afternoons for the Largest Purses ever offered in South Alberta. Dr. Eaton, the well known Professional Starter of the Ameri. can Race Circuit will officiate and the Starting Gate will be used here for first time. Entries include a lot of high class horses. THE CITY BAND WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE EACH DAY Every inch of of space in the Main Building has been taken and everyone should make it a. point to see the Grand Exhibit displayed in it. THE STOCK ENTRIES eclipse any that have ever been made here, and the show will delight lovers of fine animals. THE POULTRY SHOW in the New Poultry Building will be an eye-opener and will tax the capacity of the building to it "TEL Entries in the LADIES' DEPARTMENT are so numerous that the space has had to be enlarged.
