Father Hosenthal told the Herald this morning -however, that these tenders ,were only for the pur- pose of aiding the architect, and were not called for by the church commit- tee. After the architect reports ou life probable cost of the building, the committee will ask that several changes in the plans be made, and new tenders .will be called for. It Is the hope of the: committee that the building may be commenced this fall, and at least the foundations complet- ed, -so that the church may be rushed to spring. Death of Thomas Evani The death occurred in the city this morning of Thomas Evans, aged 64 years, at the residence of his son-in- law, B. G. Hamilton, 619-Gth Street South. The late Mr. Evans had been suffering for; some time from cancer and his death was not unexpected; Deceased leaves to mourn his IOBS, a widow and three daughters, Mra. B. G. Hamilton, Mrs. If. Ft. Davis, and Mrs.'Winiam Fleetwood. of this city ami'one son who lives near Ed- monton. The funeral will take place from the residence of deceased's son- in-law, at 619-Gth Street South on Sunday afternoon at 2.30. Rev.
