Sho married Mr. Martin Cochran in December 1911 and they moved to Fcrnie, B.C. in She was predeceased by Mr. Cocliran there in 1923 and iti 1021 she moved to Rainier. She married Mr. George Jef- frey there in l'J25 anil they re- sided tiierc until retiring and moving into Brooks in 1546, They moved to Lethbridgc in 194t and she was predeceased by her husband in May 1965. She is survived by one daugh- ter, Mrs. M. A. (Gay) Russel' of Lcthbridge; three sons, Ceci Cochran, Duncan, B.C., Lellanc. Cochran of Lcthbridge, Dery Cochran of Port Albernic, B.C.; II grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson; four sisters, Mrs Gladys Doble of Brooks, Mrs J. (Alice) Bennett of Sweet home, Oregon, Mrs. Myrtl Cragg of Calgary, anrl Mrs Elva Quarrels of Spokane; lwindier Creek, Born in Medicine lat, she came to the Mour.tain .lill district of Pincher Creek with rior parents in 1886, where she has resided until her pass- ng. Hilda attended school in Stirling and during her younger years she was a great sports enthusiast and she received many medals for swim- ming ability. She married Al- vin Reid, November 8, 1D72. Their first home was at Troy where Alvin taught school. In 1928 they moved to Tyrclls Lake where Mr. Reid taught for five years, then at the Indcpen. tlcnt School near New Dayton from 1933-1937; from 1937-1942 at Bowville, east of Barons; from 1942-1SH5 she lived at Barons, then they were located ot Coallmrst from 1W5-195Q where Alvin died. Hilda was al- ways very active along with her husband 'in the schools. She taught the children dancing, singing and music. When she was left a widow she was em- ployed as a teacher at the Fel- ger Colony. She was greatly re- spected there and made many lasting friends. In 1954 she took n secretarial course at Garrect Husiness College in Lcthbridge and graduated as a secretary. iiie laught night classes and iiifosliUitcd during the day. In 1955 she svcnt to Calgary and look n nursing aVe course.'On completing the course she was employed by the Municipal liospital until her retirement in April of this year.
