Born in Qin-sceon, Ontario, Dec. 25, 1BS3, the late Mrs. Freed moved to Michigan at a very early age. She married the late Mr. Abncr Freed in 1906 and they came to Alberta in 1910 and homesteaded in the Glassford district until 1944 when they moved to Orion and operated a grocery store. In 1953, they retired and moved lo Lc'.hbridge. Mr. Freed passed away in October and after Ins death she made her home with her daughter. Mrs. Helen Hope of Lethbridge. Mrs. Fi'ced was always active in community work and was a charter member of the Orion Women's In-sliUile and an member of St. Andrew's Piesby-lerian Church, Lethbridge. She is survived hv Iwo daughters, Mrs. W. T. (Helen) Hope. Lethbridge. Mrs II. II. (Ruth) Mum by, Vulcan; two sons. Maxwell, Edmonlon. Donald. Calgary; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
