Lethbridge Herald, The (Newspaper) - April 28, 1972, Lethbridge, Alberta Many Hollywood stars j j are Bob Hope's neighbors THE LETHBRIDGE HERALD FRIDAY, APRIL 28, 1972 How would you like to live next door to Bob Hope? Dorothy Lamour lives across the street from Hope and laughs when asked if golf balls ever travel from Hope's golf course to her property. Hope and Miss Lamour live in Toluca Lake, section of North Hollywood, Calif., adjacent to Burbank, where Hope's NBC- TV specials are taped. If you were to walk through Toluca Lake, it would be a kind of star trek for many stars in all .areas of the entertainment bus- iness live there. Many like the community be- cause it is convenient to the movie and television studios and is less famous than Bev- erly Hills. Buses of tourists rarely, if ever, go out of Uieir way to find Toluca Lake and the residents, therefore, enjoy a kind seclusion, Across the street from Hope, in another direction from Miss Lamour, lives Jo Anne Worley. Jonathan Winters resides on a street directly behind the Hope home. Joe Campanella (of NBC-TV's "The Bold lives near- by. Ken Berry and his wife, Jackie Joseph, are about three j blocks away. Also in the im- mediate neighborh o o d are Frankie Ava'on, Fabian, Keely Smith, comic Dave Ketc hum and George Shearing. If Hope limited his guest stars to his neighbors, he could still do several specials a year.
