Mr, Clarence Henry Johnston at the age of 65 years, of the Edith Cavell Nursing Home, formerly of Foremost. Born in Okotoks, Alta., the late Mr. Johnston moved to the Foremost district with his family in 1910 He retired from farming in 1969 and in 1971 came to Lethbridge where he has resided until his passing. He was a member of the Foremost Masonic Lodge No. 103. He is survived by one niece, Mrs. J. (Madeline) Wutzke of Foremost, and one nephew, Mr. Wayne Johnston also of Foremost.-The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 1974 in Martin Bros. LTD., Directors of Funeral Service C8116 GAETZ Passed away suddenly in the city on Tuesday, April 23, 1974, Mr. George Gaetz, at the age of 88 years, of 133 19th St. N. Born near Odessa, Russia the late Mr. Gaetz came to the U.S.A. with his parents in his early years, settling in North Dakota. In 1908 he moved to Canada to the Foremost area where he homesteaded and farmed until 1926, moving to Turin, Alta., and then to Lethbridge in 1941. He is survived by four sons, Anthony, of Burdett, Peter and Joseph of Lethbridge, and George D. of Fort Vermil ion, Alta.. six daughters, Mrs. V. (Lena) Madsen, Picture Butte. Mrs. R. (Barbara) Neville, Mrs. A. (Mary) Buttazzoni. both of Lethbridge, Mrs. E. (Kay) Henning, Mission City, B.C., Mrs. E. (Martha) Wojtowick, Picture Butte, Mrs. W. (Helen) Griffith, Angus, Ontario. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. Mr. Gaetz was predeceased by his first wife, Aplonia Gaetz, in 1917 and his second wife, Elizabeth Helena Gaetz in 1972; also by three children from the first marriage and three children from the second marriage including Andrew in 1964; also one sister and one brother. The funeral service will be held from Martin Bros. Memorial Chapel, Thursday 10-00 a.m with Father D. Vornbrock officiating. Prayers will be said at Martin Bros. C8121 DEATHS HARDER Passpd away in Coaldale on Monday, April 22, 1974, following a brief ill- ness, Mr. Bernhard P. Harder at the age of 76 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Tina Harder of Coaldale. Born and raised in Russia, the late Mr. Harder came to Canada in 1948 to Coaldale and was involved in the carpentry industry until retiring in the mid 1960's. Besides his loving wife he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. K. S. (Leona) Guthrie of Edmonton, Katie and Helen in Russia, Elizabeth in Germany; one step-daughter, Mrs. W. (Elvera) Falk of Lethbridge; one sister in Russia; and eleven grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, April in the Mennonite Conference Church, Coaldale with Rev. Peter Retzlaff officiating. Those who wish may pay their respects at the church on Thursday from 1 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in the Coaldale Cemetery. MARTIN BROS. LTD., Directors of Funeral Service. C8117 SINNEMA Passed away in Fort Macleod on Tuesday, April 23, 1974, Evert, aged 78 years, beloved husband of -Mrs. Detje Sinnema of Granum. Born in the Netherlands he married Detje Omta. They immigrated to Granum in 1925. They farmed at Granum for two years and then at Coaldale for seven years, moving back to Granum, where they retired in 1957. He is predeceased by a son Peter in 1956. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Cornelius of Nobleford, William of Edmonton; two daughters, Mrs. K. (Annie) Poelman of Granum, Mrs. W. (Jennie) Bajema of Blackfalls, Alberta; three brothers, Peter and Sies of Washington, Gatse of Holland; one sister, Etsie in Holland: 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held in the Granum Christian Reformed Church, Saturday at 2 p.m., Rev. Peter Van Tuinen officiating. Interment Christian Reformed Cemetery. C8122 BACHURA Joseph, beloved husband of the late Antonette Bachura of Hillcrest, passed away in the Crowsnest Pass Hospital on Sunday, April 21, 1974 at age 85 years. He was born in Mestec, Province of Bohemia, Czechoslovakia, November 18, 1888. He came to Canada in 1909 to Michel, B.C. and to Hillcrest in 1941, where he has resided since. He also resided in Frank from 1916 to 1941. He worked in various coal mines throughout Alberta and B.C., retiring in 1953. He was predeceased by his wife Antonette, November also by one daughter Vlasta in 1928; two brothers and one sister. Surviving are one son Benny of Hillcrest; two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Rose) Horejsi, Frank and Mrs. D. (Emily) Nykolaychuk, Bellevue; seven grandchildren, six great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Fantin's Blairmore Chapel on Saturday, April 27 at a.m., with Rev. Douglas Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in the Passburg Cemetery.
