Four areas of the; cily have been designated as boats. Each area is patrolled on foot by o lonu constable with a two-way radio. There are Ihruo from midnight to 8 a.m., from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to midnight. To cover each boat, n con- stable must walk from 10 to 20 miles. Other areas of Ihc cily are covered random patrols made by three police cars. Traffic patrols run nightly until 2 a.m., and resume again after (3 a.m. Four traffic patrol cars are used. Woman arrested and charged, with jcing drunk and Illegal posses- sion of alcohol. She attempted o bottle in cor called lo lake her to station. Police car called to transport her back to the station to be locked up. 2 a.m. Polce cur arrives, woman IMS attempted to be- come violent and escape, hut ts too drunk to succeed, She has become, excessively abu- sive in her language.
