The Company which Mr. Begg representa buy only grain ted cattle for the coMt,market,,and ho is always able, to .aecure a good supply of prime beef from the amall ranchers and farmera of Alberta, who arc finding that it is more profitable to feed their coarse grainthan to sell it to the elevators. He reports that the loss of cattle on the big ranches has .been greatly exag -gerated and from personal obscrva -tlon throughout the country he does not think the loss will exceed five per cent. The farmers north of Calgary have entered more readily into the spirit of mixed farmiing and stall feeding of cattle than those south and east, the country appar -onlly being better adapted to that sy.stem.-Albcrtan.
