Most homcmakers over- estimated the whole milk's fat content and the fattincss of ice cream, The answer on whole milk's fat content id "up to five per cent" and in ice cream it Is more like 10 to 10 per and not one in 10 knew the an- swer, The fat content of most cheeses is in Hie 30 to 39 cent range and only about one in 10 respondents had thai right. Cottage cheese is in the "up to five per cent" range. Many homemakers scored rel- atively well on low-fat fluid milk which may indicate that they check the fat content which Is Indicated on the label, or that they were familiar with it because they were weight con- scious!
