For, despite Premier Peter Lougheed's promise during the 1972 federal election campaign to present Progressive Con servative leader Rober Stanfield with every one of Al berta's federal seats, on page 235 of the 920-page book ap- pears the name of John Harney who lost out to David Lewis in his bid for the New Democratic Parry leadership. Mr. Barney's constituency Is given as Medicine Hat and, worse still, his political affilia tion is given as Progressive Conservative. Mr. Harney, NDP member for Scarborough West, Ont., is reported to be just as annoyet about the slip-up as most Alber- tans will be when they hear of it. Strangely, the Harney listing appears directly under that d Bert Hargrave, the real MP for Medicine Hat and as dedicatee a Conservative as you can find. The usually reliable book con Liiiis at least one other error that will upset spells Rocky Mountain MP Joe Clark's home town as Edsun when the correct spelling is o: course, Edson. Bell widow granted more money CALGARY (CP) Agnes Eileen Bell, widow of newspap- er publisher and businessman G. Max Bell, has been granted an additional annual payment of above that stipulated in Mr. Bell's will. Alberta Supreme Court dir- ected the money be paid out of the residue of Mr. Bell's estate, estimated at million when he died last July 19. Mrs. Bell, 43, was originally bequeathed two homes, an in- terest in a third, and the revenue from another Counsel W. A. McGfflivray said under this arrangement, and considering her private in- come, Mrs. BeH's income after taxes was about inade- quate to maintain the two homes and her previous style of living. A sufficient amount was estimated at year- ly. of Mr. BeH's estate, million, went to the charitable Bell Foundaton, the additional annual grant to Mrs. which is to rise 2.5 per cent annually to compensate for in- flation, is to come from the foundation's capital and would avoid income tax. The widow's request for ad- ditional support was not contest- ed. Mr. Bell was chairman of FP Publications, president of Sun Publishing Co. LW., publisher of The Albertan and a director of CP Rail at tte lime his death.
