C8609 HANCOCK Joseph W., passed away in Raymond on Wednesday, April 3, 1974 at the age of 83 years, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Grace Shields Hancock of Raymond. Born in Burrville, Utah April 26, 1890, Mr. Hancock came to Canada with his parents at 13 years of age, settling in Raymond. He attended school in what is now known as the Raymond Buddhist Church and also attended the Knight Academy. He married Grace Elizabeth Shields on December 23, 1914 and continued to live in Raymond and farm just east of Raymond. He has spent most of his life in Raymond. He is survived by four daughters, Fern Cook of Magrath, Zella Crawford of Calgary, Mrs. Morris (Lucille) Brown of Raymond and Mrs. Robert (Betty) Coyle of Lethbridge; 29 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren, and one sister Bessie Allred of Cardston. He was predeceased by his wife, Grace, August by two daughters, Alta Marker in 1972, Geneva in 1925 and an infant son Joseph Owen. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, 1974 at p.m. in the Raymond 3rd Ward L.D.S. Chapel, with Elder Dick Kinsey conducting. Interment will follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery. Born in Durham, England on July 18, 1896, the late Mr. Bambling came to Canada in 1929, settling in Coleman, where he has resided since. In April 1922, he married Gladys Studdart in Lethbridge. He was employed as a steam engineer for the McGUlivray and International Mines until his retirement in 1963. He served in the First World War 1916-1918. He was predeceased by his mother in 1925 and his father in 1953. Survivors besides his loving wife Gladys of Coleman are one daughter, Mrs. A. (Marion) Thomson, Calgary and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Fantin's Coleman Chapel on Saturday, April 6 at a.m., with Rev. Douglas Dunn officiating. Interment will follow, Coleman Union Cemetery.
