Laurel Ledger, The (Newspaper) - December 2, 1909, Laurel, Mississippi d v s" v 't f I v X X X V THE PAGE BELONGS TO The CASH GROCER ROSS The CASH GROCER Watch For Prices Next Week! A S YOU KNOW, I started in March 1908, on the cash basis STRICTLY and continued for a time on that line. The success of the business was far and away above what I expected and the plan gave great satisfaction to my customers. Return to CasK System Now, in view of that success and satisfaction, and of the great amount of capital required to operate a Credit Business, I have decided'to return to the Cash System. I Pay Cash for My Groceries and Will Sell Them For Cash. My expenses are very heavy land I am paying CASH for absolutely everything that comes into my store. Now, to give the best possible service, I MUST HAVE THE CASH for my goods. This Wipes Out Every Vestage of Risk and Places Me in a Position to Sell Groceries Cheaper than Any One Who Sells for Cash. TO THOSE customers who desire to continue with me, I am going to make it to your interest. I will be able to sell cheaper. I will have my drivers furnish you with change at your door, and the service will be vastly improved. However, I do not ask you to continue with me to your but I trust you will give me a trial and then, if you are satisfied, I respectfully solicit your further patronage. Groceries for Cash is the Only Logical Way to Buy Groceries. The wholesale dealer has to have the CASH for his goods, and if the retail man has to charge them he has to add a margin for bad accounts; if he didn't, he would soon be out of business. I am going to give you the advantage of per which it would cost me in extra help to sell groceries on the Credit Plan. You Will Buy Groceries a Great Deal Cheaper by Buying From Me for Cash. Now, in conclusion, those who are in arrears with me will confer a great favor by an early settlement upon receipt of your bill this month. In order, in business at all, I must have the amount you owe me. My obligations are pressing me and, for that reason, I ask you to come forward immediately and give me a settlement. Remember, that after the 1st day of December any order made by anybody must be Strictly Cash. Look for further explanation in the local papers' next week. Thanking "you for past business and trusting I may have the chance of serving you further-to a better advantage, I am, Yours, truly, x ROSS, THE CASH GROCER J 8 5 k ft _ IJ V 'ST-4PFRI 'SPAPFRJ ;
