Mothers Are Busy these Days purchasing easter wearing apparel for their youngsters and the shops Are brimming Over rot Only with these shoppers but others buying easter gifts for relatives and friends. Last week s entries Are the second to be entered in the music festival in the history the last time Mirando entered being in 1936, and this is the first time the Emiranda school has the festivals have discontinued shown outstanding accomplishments the first second and third rankings of former years and the rating now is Given according to divisions and their respective abilities. Mirando High school received the following ratings girl s glee club third division girl Trio third division contralto Solo third division and Soprano Solo second division. Beverly Salley who Sang the Soprano Solo won for the Mirando school a medal for her outstanding performance. To spinach festival Laredo girl in Honor Roll r Denton March 16-mis Felicia Gonzalez of Laredo has been placed on the Dean s Honor Roll at Texas state College for women for High Scholastic standing in her work last semester announced this week Only the top ranking eight percent of the student body qualified for the Honor.
