Although most area churches had their Christmas programs earlier in the week several serv ices Are scheduled for Christmas eve and Christmas Day. At St. Dominic s Catholic Church High mass will be celebrated at Midnight on Christmas eve. Father Thomas Woodley will officiate. Music will be by the choir of St. Dominic s school under the direction of sister Mary Cole Man. Christmas carols will be Sung before mass begins at . Following the Midnight mass will be the Benediction of the most blessed sacrament. On Christmas morning Low masses will be celebrated at 7 and 8 . Carols will be Sung by the adult choir under the direction of mrs. Herbert Merrill. At St. Paul s episcopal Church a Christmas eve children s serv ice will be held at 6 . Under the direction of Richard Alvey. An . Midnight serv ice with regular Sermon and Celebration of the holy com Munion will be conducted by the Rev. L. F. Kent pastor. On Christmas Day at 11 . Holy communion will be celebrated. Holy Trinity lutheran Church have a Christmas eve serv ice at 7 . This will be a candlelight service and the subject of the Sermon will be god s last by the pastor the Rev. Donald Fauble. The Junior and senior choirs will furnish music for the serv ice with the Junior choir sing ing the Christmas and the senior choir glory to god from the mrs. H. A. Scott soloist will sing Sweet Little Young adult classes of the Kingsport churches have for the past week been staging the nativity scene on the Lawn of the Broad Street methodist the last enactment of this scene will be Christmas eve from 7 to 9 . Kingsport times thursday dec. 21 a department reports Normal cattle prof it Washington Agri culture department reports it has found no evidence of wide spread above _ Normal profit making by beef and cattle processors and distributors in the past two years. The report culminated an investigation started in september at the direction of Secretary of i agriculture Benson. He said there had been consumer and producer complaints that beef prices had not declined in pro portion to Sharp drops in beef cattle prices in 1952-53. But the report prepared by the department s Bureau of agriculture economics which made the study declared it appears that retail prices of beef have generally reflected the declining prices for live cattle in 1952 and 1953. There were scattered exam Ples of very depressed prices on some of the lower Grade cattle sold in the local livestock markets. There were also a few cases of extremely wide margins on lower Grade meat sold in re Tail meat stores. But this was not the usual situation.
