The District stopped taking students who live outside its boundaries in 1991-92, when overcrowding was a problem in the schools. It accepts on a contractual basis some students from Creston school but refuses others even though they would bring additional per Pupil funding from the state. On a non Holiday meals on wheels serves 298 meals but Only about too Are delivered. The remainder Are served at six places around the Valley meals on wheels Headquarters in courthouse East the senior centers in Kalispell Columbia Falls Whitefish and Bigfork and Lakeside Baptist Church. Eagle transit buses pick up the seniors and bring them to the Sites. Seniors Are encouraged to show up for the group meals it has been shown that they eat better when they can socialize said Isles. The meals Are served just on weekdays on the Assumption that family members will take Over on weekends. But there Are Frozen meals for those without help.
