Jackson county Early this morning and carried him. Nearly a mile to obtain medical Aid. Anthony and one of his friends John Mingenbach of Mepherson kan., both students at Maur Hill High school in Atchison kan., were in a Hospital today. Anthony s brother Maurice Nugent also a Maur Hill student and Robert Trotter a Friend were. At Home with less serious injuries. Door jammed shut. The door of the car in which the four were Riding was jammed shut in the Accident. Trotter broke out the Glass with his foot helping Mingenbach and Maurice Nugent to scramble out and the three pulled Anthony Nugent out after them. Though bleeding from their own wounds the three youths carried Anthony nearly a mile to a filling station. His right leg and Pelvis were broken and he suffered severe lacerations of his left ear and left knee. Mingenbach suffered deep cuts on his forehead and right knee and a possible nose fracture. Anthony Nugent is a Maur Hill basketball player and senior class officer. Mingenbach is president of the senior class. Maurice Nugent was a football team member and editor of the school paper. The Nugentq and Rotter live in Kansas. City.
