A an Bevaun Zeroni investigation we find the Fol lowing additional facts in re form tee to the county court were in bodied in said report but not Given in the general presentment. We therefore give them that All Way see and know what the county court has done since september 1882, a former committee having reported to that time. tried in monthly terms 1.3 appealed to Superior court 14 on docket March 1885 term cases tried appealed to Superior court on docket March 1885 court cases tried and finally disposed of 60 on docket March 1885. 12 had the cases tried in the monthly term of the county court been tried in other courts having jurisdiction it is probable that an equal number a id have found their Way to the rior court. In the quarterly term of the county court 64 cases were tried All of which would have necessarily been placed upon the docket of the Superior court and allowing that ten cases could have been disposed of in one Day we find that six and one half Days time would have Lee required in the Superior court whereas the cases appealed at same ratio could be head in one Anda half Days thereby saving five Days in the Superior court or one thousand dollars 0 the county. And in the criminal court the go cases would have required at least six Days in the Superior court at a Cost of $1200.00 to Tho tax payers. We further find that All jail fees accrued on account of the county court prisoners have been paid from funds raised in county court. The amount paid j. O. Beauchamp sheriff and Jailer jail fees to March 1885 is $110.00. Finally had All parties who were convicted and who were unable to pay a Light line and costs been compelled to have remained in jail from Date of conviction in county Cour until Tho next term of the a Superior court an additional sum As jail fees of $309.00 would have accrued and nudist have been paid by die county and it is Only reasonable to say that when said fines and Cost could not be raised by tiie parties they could not have made Bond and to use the language of the committee a the county court has Besu a considerable saving to the while the entire expense from september 1882 to March 1885, including judges salary in criminal matters and for Bis service in attending to the county business pay of jury la and non re Sidon witnesses were Only $350.00, thus saving to Tho county not less than two thousand dollars within two and one half years.
