Railroad locomotives anodes trying Timber he had transferred this judgment to the Bretting manufacturing company of Ashland to satisfy a claim of theirs but referee Merrill set aside this Transfer to the Bretting company and ordered of this judgment paid to the Kimber Leclark company which had a con tract for the Timber destroyed and also ordered the sum of paid to the attorneys Dillon Risjord of Ashland and j a Oneil of Ironwood they having started this suit for or Emerson against the Northwestern Railroad on a contingent plan this left of this judgment that referee Merill ordered held up Pend ing further inquiry into the Bretting claim these two matters were the important portions of the estate that were under dispute and these Are now finally disposed of Ashland news Olcott confirms North end of Lake Goge Bic have been boosting for some time and on which match Wood township has already done some work the opening of a new trunk Highway through the Section mentioned would be of great Benefit to Wakefield Tula Forelock and Bergland and now that Ontonagon county has been induced to help in its construction it is a pretty Good guess that the first trunk Highway connecting the Eastern and Western sections of the upper Peninsula will be the go Gebic from Kore lock and Bergland eastward to match Wood Ewen Kenton Rockland and Ontonagon and the Copper country the roads Are very Good enforce health Laws state Board cautions officers to do their duty this Winter the death rate in Michigan during August of this year was about 25 per cent less than during August the infantile mortality was less by about 60 per cent the state Board of health Points to this record As an example of what May be accomplished by a vigorous enforcement of the health Laws and in a recent bulletin cautions local health officers to continue their vigilance the bulletin says the situation before us now is what to do for the Winter the health Laws Are adequate to the situation More attention must
