Council meeting official proceedings of last meeting of Ironwood Board of aldermen Ironwood july 11 1911 a regular meeting of the common Council of the City of Ironwood was held on the above Date mayor d b Sutherland presided the following aldermen being present Mullen Tolan Stevens dear Mueller Peter son 00 Swanson May Speare Junell Richards Bond and d 3 Stevens the minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved petition no 140 by w b shove agent relative to placing a fire hydrant at the North end of Mansfield Street was read and referred to the committee on fire and water 150 by j h Urquhart anal 21 others asking that the City offer a Reward for theatre stand conviction of any person who deliberately and wilfully throws or depos its in any Street or Alley or other place any broken Glass tacks nails and like obstructions whereby darn age will be done to horses hoofs automobile and bicycle tires Etc was read and on motion received and placed on file Ironwood july g 1911 City clerk City of Ironwood Mich sir i understand that according to your records and the rec ords in the City treasurers office there Are certain City orders still out standing that have been issued Wuthe name of m f Mccabe As these have never been accounted for May i ask that duplicate or Ders for like amounts be issued to his estate to cover same i will be glad to furnish for ashes the size should not be less than thirty Gallons cans should be placed in a position on the ground floor of the premises and where there is an Alley at the rear of the lot easily accessible to the collector where there Are no alleys cans should be placed conveniently inside the Yard when filthy leaking or in any Way defective cans should be put into the garbage can All refuse from the Kitchen that cannot be burned in the stove ashes tin cans broken crockery Etc garbage cans containing water slops or manure should not be Emp tied by the collector provide a sufficient number of cans two will do for the Ordinary family to hold a weeks accumulations All garbage should be drained of hoofs bicycle arid automobile tires and that the City clerk be instructed to advertise this Reward
