Johnston of k., having obtained leave presented a Bill supplementary an act organizing the county of Clinton which was read three several times and passed. The engrossed Bill from the Senate entitled an act supplemental an act providing for the location opening and inf movement of certain state roads and for other purposes passed at the present session of the general Assembly was taken . Several amendments were made said Bill and several others were proposed and negatived and the said amendments were considered As engrossed and the Bill was read a third time and passed. A message was received from the Senate announcing the passage of the rect fixing the times of holding courts in the several judicial circuits with an amendment in which they requested the concurrence of the House. The amendment made in the Senate provided for two instead of three terms. Or. Howk moved Lay the Bill on the table which was negatived. Or. The vote taken yesterday on the passage of the engrossed Bill attaching part of the county of Clark the county of Floyd was re considered and its further consideration was then on motion of or. Howk postponed indefinitely. A message was received from the Senate announcing that the governor had returned with his objections a Bill which had passed both houses providing for the Public printing. Information was also Given that the Senate had passed the Bill the governor s objections notwithstanding. The question was then taken in the House and the Hill was lost. A great Deal of local business was transacted this Day. Both House this evening at seven o clock proceeded the election of canal commissioners.
