Yomtov fruit cake 1 cup dried figs 2 cups Light raisins 1 cup cooked prunes pitted. 114 cups diced mixed candied fruits grated Rind 1 Orange 114 cups chopped nuts 14 cup fruit juice 314 cups sifted All purpose flour 1 cup shortening 1 cup Brown sugar packed 1 cup granulated sugar 4 eggs 1 tsp. Nutmeg 1 tsp. Cloves 1 tsp. Mace 114 tips. Salt 1 tsp. Baking soda 1 tsp. Baking powder rinse figs cover with water and boil 5 minutes. Drain and slice Fine. Rinse raisins and Drain. Chop cooked pitted prunes. Combine All fruits Rind nuts and fruit juice. To this mixture add one half of the flour and mix Well. Cream shortening and sugars together until Well blended. Beat in eggs one at a time. Sift remaining flour with Salt spices baking soda and baking powder. Stir into the creamed mixture. Fold in flour coated fruits and nuts. Blend thoroughly. Turn into a 10-Inch tube pan which has been lined with Brown paper and greased Well. Bake 2 14 hours at 275 degrees. Place a shallow pan of water on the equal that which the giver has made.
