Stein was right in tune with them god bless you girls you were wonderful mrs. Abe Cissy Winters was hilarious As Cleopatra but the skit that broke up the House was when Cissy was preparing a Chicken As the radio was telling her How what she did to the flour Salt and Pepper the wine and Schmaltz happen to a Chicken she really a a stuffed it and Cissy used a a a real dressed or undressed Chicken a great Job by a Good sport and the wonderful Grenwald girls a the a Gal broads a As they Are affectionately known to us All mrs. Jack Sylvia Ladin mrs. Mrs. I. J. Walerstein was the regional conference chairman and mrs. Irvin Rose was the local conference chairman. Mrs. Moses p. Epstein of new York was the conference National advisor. Sixty five delegates representing the 28 chapters in the Region attended the workshops plenary sessions and luncheons. At the monday evening banquet which took place at Hil Lel mrs. Eugene Moses the outgoing regional president presided. Mrs. Moses Epstein gave an address Quot Israel in a world in crisis. Immediately following the Benediction Given by rabbi Gerald Engel the Lafayette chapter honoured the delegates with a reception in the Library. Tuesday evening after a full Day of work shops the delegates again assembled at the Hillel foundation to hear an address by or. Moshe Smilansky of Israel on the subject a the culturally deprived child. Again a reception followed and tie guests were entertained by a local Israel dance group. Wednesday at 12 30 the closing luncheon took place with the presidents report adoption of resolutions presentation of awards and installation of the new regional officers. Mrs. Ralph e. Berkson of Champaign was installed As the new president of the Region at 3 30 the conference adjourned. The Hammond chapter will be the Host for the 1966 conference. Daughter born or. And mrs. And links pos and Temple teens have plenty to shout about after winning the first place and runner up trophies at stunt night 1965. Links also took the prize for Selling the most tickets. Brenda judging from the standing room Only attendance they must have really helped to fill the Beth-e1 auditorium. It was really exciting to Sec so Many teens working together for so Many hours to accomplish so much for such a Good cause. The jewish welfare federation benefited greatly from the combined efforts of seven teen clubs their advisers parents and most of All coordinators Lesley Barrett Louis Joseph and Tom Lawson. It All began As an idea buzzing in the brain of fellow col n i s t Norm Weisman. By now it is an established event that the entire jewish Community awaits. This year it was really a stunt night to remember. Eddie Sachs will easily remember this night he did a great Job belting out several songs and had the entire audience bouncing to the swinging beat.
