I have heard from Many of you this past week and i want to take this Opportunity to thank All of you who have called or written to me this past week. Mrs. Steinberg eating dinner at the Eiffel Tower in Paris France was a real thrill for nine year do Barry Lieber and seven year old Wendy Lieber along with their parents Ann and Ronald Lieber. The Liebers took their two oldest children along on their recent trip to Paris and Switzerland. It was a family trip sponsored by the alumni of the University of Michigan of which Ann and Ronald Are both graduates. Several of the alumni brought their children along and a special Camp program was arranged for the children in Switzerland. After returning Home from Europe the Liebers took their four children on another week Long alumni Outing at Walloon Lake Mich where they enjoyed horseback Riding water and sports and just a grand time. Elizabeth and Dan Domont have just returned Home from a exciting trip to Europe. They began their five week trip in the eternal City Rome where they purchased a car and motored to Venice where they especially enjoyed the pomp and splendor of the italian opera. The Domontis also visited Florence Vienna Paris England and Switzerland. Switzerland was Liz a favorite country. She was especially impressed with the friendliness of the Swiss people and the immaculate and breathtaking Countryside. A # mrs. Robert Trattner Lillian and her two daughters mrs David Hyman Beverly and Paula Trattner Are Home from a wonderful vacation in Israel. Red White and Blue stars and stripes forever and the sounds of bagpipes played by or. Charles Firman a member of the Gorden pipers were All part of a fourth of july Celebration hosted by Teresa and Paul Hirsch. The Lovely Hirsch Home on Holiday drive provided the setting for the gala evening with tables beautifully arranged outside on the Patio each bearing red White and Blue tablecloths and set aglow by Centrepieces bearing red flaming candles. Teresa never looked lovelier in a patriotic ensemble of red White and Blue that was just perfect for the occasion. She elected to Wear a Navy Blue body shirt with a Long White skirt Slit up the Side and fastened at the Waist by a smashing red Patent Belt. Red White and Blue candles in a Gold candelabra decorated the Buffet table in the dining room which was adorned with a wide variety of hours do oeuvres meats and relishes. A sweets table was also available for guests to enjoy and cocktails were served throughout the evening. The impressive guest list included John j. I Ilion former attorney general of the state of Indiana along with his charming wife Aan judge and mrs. Frank Harbor or. And mrs. Alan Klineman or. And mrs. Leon Frisch or. And mrs. Marty Kramer or. And mrs. Gilbert Cohen or. And mrs. Gerald Roland or. And mrs. Jack heckle or. And mrs. Seymour Schwartz or. And mrs. Mikel Hirsch or. And mrs. Jerry Fivel or. And mrs. William Steinbarger and Many More. It was a grand time for those celebrating Independence Day with Teresa and Paul Hirsch. You May recall Reading about Phillip Lande son of or. And mrs. Alexander Lande a few weeks ago when we informed you of his leaving for a study tour of Israel with a $500 scholarship Given by . Upon his graduation from hebrew High school. Phil has arrived in Israel and is having a marvelous time there. He has written his parents a Beautiful letter relating some of his experiences and they were kind enough to share it with us. The following Are some excerpts from the letter. A yesterday they turned us Loose on Tel Aviv. It was a blast. The ice Cream Here is the Best actually its Par be. Where Walters daughter and son in Law Erica and Irvin Rose former residents of Indianapolis have resided for the past 20 years. Erica and Irvin were Host and hostess to waiters two Sisters mrs. Alice Jaffe from new York and mrs. Ludwig Rosen Berger from Chicago Cousin mrs. Alice Klaus and her daughter from Detroit and cousins or. And mrs. Alfred Wiener coming All the Way from Toron ton Canada whom Walter had not seen for 30 years. Or. And mrs. Walter Hess were escorted to Lafayette by their granddaughter Nancy Rose who flew in from it. Lauderdale to join in the big event. A birthday dinner at the lamplighter room of Howard Johnson a was held in Walters Honor which was followed by a special Farewell breakfast the next morning Given by granddaughters Ida and Susan Rose daughters of or. And mrs. Irvin Rose in their Lovely Home on Longlois drive in Lafayette ind. Mrs. Leon Gurvitz Jean piano accompanist for the afternoon played the anniversary Waltz for the Happy couple As they danced. Mrs. Hannah hasten gave a Toast to the levys and recited a touching poem to them and members of the Golden age group presented a Lovely Plant to Grace and Isaac. A wide variety of cakes and cookies were served including graces special recipe of delicious homemade sephardic cookies. Ruth Hammer Schmidt was mistress of ceremonies for the Day.
