Indianapolis Dental College (Newspaper) - November 1, 1904, Indianapolis, Indiana week of 104 Raymond h. Sellers. Ith very few if any exceptions the College commencement week of 1904 was one of the most notable in the history of the institution. The week from a social standpoint eclipsed All for a number of years while it was an epoch of history making for the College itself. A number of things contributed to making the week one Long to be remembered by the friends of the College chief of which was the resignation of or. W. T. Stott who for More than a generation has piloted the institution through Sunshine and storm until it was brought at last to a firm and substantial financial Anchorage. Among other events was the dedication of the elegant new St Rudure which in the future will be the Home of the magnificent Library. Also the reunion of the class of 1894 which in Point of numbers was the largest Ever graduated from the College in a single year. Then too the class rivalry was even More Sharp than usual and the two upper classes although having the warmest possible feeling existing Between their members still to outsiders they presented a hostile front that for Quot strenuous Stren Rosity Quot could hardly be equated. The commencement week program proper began on sunday morning june i2th with the annual missionary Sermon by Rev. H. P. Klymer. In the evening of the same Day the annual baccalaureate address was delivered by president Stott who spoke from the text Quot there can be nothing against the truth but for the truth. At this service the graduates according to custom had planned to appear in their Caps and gown but the watchful juniors had previously purloined a number of them and several of the seniors were forced to substitute the Black Robes that were kept in Stock in the various fraternity Halls
