Samuel Vonachen 15, is scheduled to stand trial sept. 21 on two counts of premeditated first degree murder attempted first de Gree murder of his father and aggravated arson after allegedly setting fire to his Home on sept. 26, 2013. A pretrial hearing was scheduled Friday morning but it was pushed Back to aug. 14 because Vonachen will receive new counsel to represent him during trial and future proceedings. The trial was previously scheduled to begin May 5, but it was continued to july 20 before the scheduled september Date. Vonachen was 14 when investigators said he poured Gas Oline throughout his family is two Story Home and ignited it killing his sister Audrey and his Mother Karla to Vonachen 47. His father Steve Vonachen escaped the burning residence. Vonachen confessed to starting the fire in a video taped interview with police that was played for the court during a february preliminary hearing. District judge Joseph Mccarville sentenced William Hinton 25, to serve 11 months in prison for aggravated escape resulting from Hinton running out of a courtroom and hiding from police when he was sentenced to a two Day jail Sanction in March on a previous charge. The judge Friday also revoked a intones probation in that earlier Case ordering the 11 months to run consecutively to 17 months for 2014 convictions of Possession of narcotics Possession of drug paraphernalia and interference with a Law enforcement officer. Chief District judge Patricia Macke Dick had sentenced Hinton to two Days in jail after a drug court Sanction hearing March 16. The hearing was in the division Iii courtroom on the first floor close to the exit of the Law enforcement Center. After being sentenced to jail Hinton took off run Ning from the courtroom before he could be placed in Handcuffs and was ordered to Stop by Deputy Reno county District attorney Tom Stanton. I went out in the hallway to Call the jail to come and get him Stanton recalled. He came out and told me he was going to the re Stroom. Run from Law sends Man to prison stay hit and run b y t he n news s t Aff Mcpherson Mcpherson county authorities Are searching for a third suspect in connection with the stabbing death of an Oregon Man whose body was found in a car near Galva last november. A first degree murder warrant was issued this week for Samuel Nelson Darrah 45, Mcpherson who is wanted in the death of James Croft 39, Accord ing to a release from the Mcpherson county crime stoppers. Mcpherson authorities said Darrah who frequents the Wichita and Hutchinson areas should be considered armed and dangerous. Darrah is 5 foot 9 and weighs 225 pounds. He is Bald and has Blue eyes and a Goatee. He has full sleeves tattoos on both arms s. C. C. On the front of his neck Ashton on left Side of neck and bled Bone dry on the left Side of his head. Clinton Bascue 32, of Mcpherson was sentenced monday to life in prison after pleading no contest in april to first degree murder according to the Mcpherson Sentinel. A second defendant Kamra Farrel 28, is in Cus Tody and awaiting trial. According to affidavits filed in the Case and Law enforcement reports Farrell Bascue and Darrah planned to confront Croft about a computer and $ 3,200 they believed he had taken from them according to the Sentinel. Farrell picked up Croft and took him to a location outside Galva where Bascue and Darrah intended to confront him. After Farrell exited the vehicle Bascue got in and stabbed Croft seven or eight times before falling out. Croft drove the vehicle a Short distance lost control and entered the ditch.
