Currier and other unc a alumni leaders in the county will set up an organization to assist in this years alumni annual giving program. There Are 479 unc a alumni living in the High Point Jamestown area. Many of them attended the institution when it was known As the woman College of the University of North Carolina. The name change occurred in 1963, and in the process unc a became coeducational. Similar county and Unity alumni groups different geographical will conduct campaigns for the unc a alumni annual giving program this fall. The alumni annual giving program at unc a is now entering its second decade. From 1961-62 to 1971-72. A total of si.003,446 was contributed to the program. That 10-year sum includes the $130,523 Given by More than 8.300 alumni last year. Funds raised under the program Are allocated by the alumni annual giving Council for important Campus needs not provided for by state appropriations.
