Pamlico county sheriff Leland Brinson said James Watson of Miami was arrested in Miami Friday night on a warrant issued Here and served by state Bureau of investigation agent Isaac Edwards. Watson and Charles v. Wilson also of Miami Are charged As accessories in the slaying of an As yet unidentified Man whose body was found last May in a shallow grave about Yards from a House trailer used in a Mari Juana smuggling operation. Wilson who was arrested earlier remains in custody in lieu of a Bond. The body was found May 18 by a customs agent acting on a tip. The shallow grave site was near the House trailer where investigators found bloodstains believed to be that of the dead Man whose identity retains a Puzzle. The trailer was believed used by 10 men arrested last february after state and Federal agents witnessed the unloading of 22 tons of colombian grown marijuana from a trawler cocked in the Bear Creek. Eight of the 10 subsequently were arrested and Are serving prison terms ranging from three to 10 years. The other two were not prosecuted after they testified for the state. Agents seized the 22 tons of marijuana and two trawlers allegedly used to run the illicit cargo up Bear Creek from a freighter anchored in International Waters. Brinson said investigator believe the unidentified Man found in the grave was connected with the smugglers and said evidence indicates he was shot several weeks prior to the raid.
