They compare the prices on a group of groceries from one store to another. They appear to be honest and direct and even informative. Unfortunately they Are not so honest not so direct and if anything misleading. A handful of groceries do not a supermarket make. The first thing that s slightly less than pure about this approach is simply the process of selection. Out of More than items a supermarket has to sell they pick one or 20, or 200 items that make them look terrific. What about the other items Are those prices equally Good not necessarily. What does the Price of toilet paper have to do with the Price of meat the second thing that s strange about these comparisons is that they Only compare groceries you be never seen them compare the Price of steaks or Frozen foods or baked goods or fruit or vegetables or Dairy products. It s As if a supermarket Only sold canned or dry goods. Last month s prices Aren t this month s prices. If you look at the Small print in these ads you la generally see that the prices quoted Are a week or even a month old. It takes time to make these comparisons and it s expensive to get people to do them every other Day. So these supermarkets try to get away with quoting old prices. But the truth is supermarket prices change every Day. And what was True a month ago or even a week ago More than Likely in t True today. In fact if you went out today to buy the exact list quoted in one of those ads a month ago you might find they would be cheaper at a competitive store than at the store that ran the and. We won t stoop to this. At Best Way Well never resort to this kind of deception. We be been serving the people of this area much too Long to rip you off this Way. And Franj Cly we believe your Faith incur integrity is much More important than whether we appear to be a Penny cheaper on one item or two cents More on another. The Way to judge a supermarket. Very simply the Way to judge a supermarket s prices is by shopping the entire supermarket. Not comparing the prices of items the supermarket picks but comparing the prices of things you pick for your own family. And not just on a handful of groceries but in every department meat poultry fish fruit vegetables Frozen foods baked goods Dairy products everything. If you shop this Way with Beltway you la find that nobody has lower prices across the store than us. Nobody. There May be an item cheaper somewhere else but then again Well have a different item that s cheaper than somewhere else. In the end we won t be beat. A supermarket is More than Price. If there s More to a supermarket than 200 items there s also More to a supermarket than Price. And this is something our competitors conveniently Don t mention. The simple matter is what you get for your Money in service in variety in Quality in dependability in integrity. At Beltway we re proud to say that you Don t sacrifice any of these things on the Way to a Good Price. It s a sad commentary on supermarkets today that nobody else cares to discuss these things.
