Baseball season brings a Happy thoughts As the ladies have their special Days full swing we have some a pare moments to wonder about these ladies Days and nights. Have you Ever taken or been coerced into taking a Law by to a baseball game the poor things try to be congenial but their baseball knowledge and Lingo seems to be slightly limited. Several reasons have been Given for having the ladies at a certain specified time but any one seems plausible to me. This by the Way has never been Given As the reason by any management. One night a few years ago two Hen pecked husbands wanted to see a game. In order to do so they had to take the wives. Everything went along very nicely As the women were Given newspapers to read and peanuts to eat. The kind husbands put them together so they could discuss All the latest subjects As Well As the other women there. During a Lull in the Reading eating and conversation one woman calmly asked Why a that Man did no to throw the Ball so the other Man could hit the patient husband explained in hushed tones. It Wasny to Long after this that she stood up. Picked up her belongings. And a said. A let s go. They re just starting Over. I done to like to see them doing the same thing Over j and the end of this Story has never been told but my private Opin Ion is that the kind husband took her out gladly and did a Little explaining in private and perhaps in language that cannot be quoted Here. A ooh. Look he swatted that exclamation was made by another Law by and a she was unthought Ful enough to say it just a Little loudly the poor husband looked Liki a thoroughly beaten Little Puppy but the Happy wife continued her baseball conversation with a few More original remarks. A a Texas leaguer a Why. I thought that meant a player from Texas. Are you sure it does no to there really Isnit any answer to such queries and husbands Are beginning to a realize that All others understand this. That is Why i think they have ladies Days and nights. They can go take their knitting und use their own expressions which they All understand without those Superior beings raising their scornful eyebrows and finally taking them firmly by the hand and indico Rousky yanking them out. We in our own Way. Understand baseball As Well As those Stalwart braves who pretend to have such unlimited knowledge. The Only trouble with them is that they done to know the latest in the language and for some inexplicable reason done to seem interested in learning.
