Came ddwn his 'MajellyVSloep Jamaica, and Philadelphia h^re this Morhmg. ^ Yefterday & Squadron of Bland's Dragoons march'd ^ through the Cityi in order to join the Army under the Com-mand of General Legonier. / We are afl^ur'd from good Authority, th^t there is not one Dane arriv'd in the North of Scotland, nor fo much as one agreed for by the Government to land fhere, or any Part of Great-Britain. There are Forces fufficient of our own now in Great-Britain to quell the Rebels, and defeat all the Attempts of our Enemies, foreign or domeltick, According to the Accounts of our Correfpondent bf the beft Integrity, the Highland Army is not 8000 ftrong, and many of thofe old and feeble, not fit for Aftion or Service. Numbers of them are deferring every dayj fmce General Wade publiftxed his Proclamation, of hopes of his Majefty's Pardon to fuch as retired to their own Habitations, and lived as peaceable Subjedls. The Neptune Privateer belonging to Boioigncj taken by the Folkftone Man of War, is arrived at Dover; ^ We hear that Captain Ruflel is appointed Commander of o his Majefty's Ship the Sheernefs of 20 Guns. ^ Yefterday was married at St. John's Southwark, Mr. �-j Ray, a Merchant in Snow's Fields, Southwark, to Mifs Sally Mitchell of Barnaby-ftreet^ an agreeable young Lady with a confiderable Fortune, ^ On Saturday Mr. Webb, Surveyor of the Candle Duty in Southwark, feiz'd on the Utenfils of a private maker of ^ Candles in Dragon Yard, Southwark; the Penalty of which is 500 I. On Saturday and Yefterday upwards of 40 Cows died, belonging to a Cowkeeper near Tottenham Court. On Friday laft James ThwaitSj late Mate of the Friend-fliip (Letter of Marque Ship) was tried by a Court-Mar-tia , held at Deptford before the Hon.
