Arrived William Glan-denny, from Jamaica, with'fe-veral others^ from ditto ; Williams, Arthur ; and Winchellea, Cornifh, from Maryland. Wind s.w. Grave/end, Dec. 18. Pafs'd by Bolters, Powers, from Antigua ; Ealtick Merchant, Bowles, from Peterfburgh ; Carolina, Msfnard, from Philadelphia ; and Jenny, Hooper, from Leghorn. The Black and Fenwick, Foot, from St. Ititts, is arrived at Portfmouth. The Chelter, Payne, from Antigua and Kinfale, at ditto. Great-Britain, Davis, from Bolton, at the Orkneys. LONDON. Yefterday Lord LtJvat was carried from the Tower, tin-der attrong Guard, to the Bar of the Houfe of Peers, and the Articles of Impeachment of High-Treafon, exhibited againft him, were read to him. After which, being ordered to withdraw, he preferred a Petition to the Houfe, praying, that he might have a Copy of the faid Articles, and that Council and Solicitors might be affigned him, which was accordingly granted. His Lordfhip is ordered to put in nis Anfwer on or before the 13th of January next. When he came out of the Coach he was fo weak, that he was obliged to be fupported by two Warders, and defired a Smelling-Bottle before he was brought to the Bar. He likewife acquainted their Lordfinps that he had nothing to fupport himfelf, and defired that his Strong Box might be returned 10 him.
