While in their Home in Ohio he accumulated some property which became a nucleus for larger accumulations in after life. In the year 1x48 he came with his family to Allen county and settled his farm near Monroeville where he continued to reside during the remainder his life. Sometime before the breaking out the Ware the lie Bellion he Laid out a portion his land into town lots and thereby became the original proprietor the town Monroeville. For Many years . 3arnhart was reckoned among the most substantial and reliable Farmers in the Community. But by Piug Security notes and obligations with in responsible men and being compelled thereby to pay other Lien s debts reverses followed Prosperity until All his it Alth and Means was taken from him and he was left to Sti juggle in sadness Avith poverty until death relieved him from All the responsibilities life. Barnhart s first real sorrow cured tiie 20th Day april 1809 Wien his beloved wife borne Down with disease was taken from him by the ruthless hand death and he was left alone in his sorrow to care for his Motherless children and carry the Battle life. On the lath Day october 1870 he was United in marriage with mrs Harriet Lovelace by which Union one child was born but it died in infancy in All his Adverse circumstances and loss property this woman has stood by him with a constancy and heroism really commendable. In the month August 1889 . Barnhart was smitten with paralysis after which he had no use his right hand and indeed but Little use his limbs yet could walk about by taking his time but required great Atte Tiou and much waiting upon and particularly so the last few months his sufferings. He was always an Active member in the methodist Cli urch and Contri buted liberally to its support especially so in the Days Prosperity and was Seldom absent from the services the Sanctuary. Bro. Barnhart s earthly career closed the 25th Day june 1892. Death came silently and without a struggle a moan he went off with the silent messenger to meet and to be with the loved ones gone before Barnhart was born in a Hiliarie county in the state new York the 14th Day february 1817, and died june 25th 1892 at the age 75 years 4 months and 11 Days. His funeral was largely attended and he was borne to the grave in the Seminary he had donated to the Public years ago. His funeral oration was Deli it Reed by his pastor Liev j.
