He was born sept. 9, 1948, in Sault Ste. Marie and was the son of Clifford and Doris Burr Kubont. He graduated from Sault Ste. Marie High school in 1967. Michael served in the . Army during the Vietnam War until he was honorable Dis charged nov. 6, 1969. He was employed with Michigan Bell Telephone co. As a splicer and line Man until his retirement on his 51st birthday on sept. 9, 1999. After his retirement he would join his friends every weekday at the family inn for Coffee. He was a life member of the am vets. Michael enjoyed working in his Garden camping Bike rid ing walking Hunting with his dog Barney and was an avid Detroit red wings and Lions fan. He also enjoyed telling Sto Ries learning about world War ii and sitting around campfires listening to his oldies music. Michael Charles Kubont is survived by his wife the for Mer Barbara Amyotte whom he married june 6, 1980, in traverse City sons Karl Kubont of Sault Ste. Box 67, rapid River passed away on Friday morning nov. 7, 2008, at Home of an apparent heart attack. De was born july 24, 1927, in Flint the son of Edward and Lona Pettit Violette. He was raised in Flint and was a graduate of Beecher High school. After his graduation he entered and served with the merchant marines for three years. De later began his 27-year employment with the Fisher body division of Gener Al motors and retired at age 56 As a maintenance supervisor. He and his wife Patricia relocated to the White fish area of rapid River 25 years ago and they enjoyed their Home on the Whitefish River for Many years. In addition to being a Mem Ber of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day saints in Escanaba de was a member of the rapid River american legion Walter w. Cole Post 301. Being an outdoors Man he enjoyed Hunting fishing and Coon Hunting. He particularly liked to raise Coon dogs and to participate in the racing events of those dogs. De Violette survivors include his wife of 30 years the former Patricia a. Griffin whom he married oct. 13, 1978, in Lin Den Michigan two sons Phillipe Violette of Hudson Fla., and Edward Janet Violette of Fountain Fla.
