She was born in Madisonville and began playing the piano at the age of two. She is a graduate of the conservatory of music and taught piano in the Cincinnati area. Her husband Arthur Heitz died in 1977. She has served As National president of the Alpha chapter International music fraternity. For several years she was the organist at holy Trinity Church in Madisonville.
