The indictment handed up wednesday is the third and most serious of the charges facing Peggy Wassermann. In february a grand jury indicted Wassermann on a charge of felonious assault and three counts of child endangering. On May 9 another grand jury indicted her on three counts of involuntary manslaughter and one count of child endangering. Her Fiance Craig Popke faces similar charges. He is accused of placing the boy in scalding water which authorities said led to the death of Michael Wassermann. Wassermann pleaded innocent to the murder charge late wednesday. She is undergoing testing at the court diagnostic and treatment Center in Toledo to determine whether she was sane at the time of her songs death.
