Some 25 persons took part in the program, which was designed to offer craft demon- strations that are "easily reproducible in classrooms to stimulate the introduction of such things in local social studies classes." Miss Westbrook said she is "hoping to provide some simple crafts for guides to do at various historic sites in order to interest visitors in these activities." Formerly associated with the educational department at Old Stnrbridge Village, Stur- bridge, Mass., for three years, Miss Westbrook recently served as consultant for the Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation, Edgmont. She was assisted by Paula Raugh of Clifton Heights and Susan Lucas of Marpie in the special workshop session. Miss Westbrook also has worked for a number of social history museums in various part of the eastern United States. pusey add 1 Among the things taught were soup making "to supplement our candledipping, wool carding, spinning and dyeing and a number of other early crafts.
