As i sat in the press Box at mile High stadium with 50 thousand others the atmosphere was such that we knew this was a special Day. We watched his helicopter land and he entered the stadium in the Pope Mobile. The crowd was electric i was not Able to get very close to him As we had to remain in the press Box. On the other hand my brother John got very close As you can see by the photos he took. Over the years Many american catholics tended to think that Pope John Paul ii was too conservative. But As we witnessed his visit to the us and his Many visits to Mexico Many of those aforementioned catholics began to Admire the Pope increasingly.
