The Tynion congressional convention the Isth congressional District assembled at the National Hall at ii Elock yesterday fore noon for the purpose nominating a Candi Date for representative to succeed Hon. A g. Riddle. R. 0. Hammond Akron was chosen temporary chairman and j. Dwight Palmer temporary Secretary. On motion the chairman appointed committee three consisting one from each county in the District As a committee permanent organisation. The chair appointed c. W. Noble Cuya hoga j l homme Deau Summit and c. C. Jennings Lake. On motion the following committee credentials was appointed the chair one from each county Thomas Stow Cuya hoga c. A. Collins Summit and c. D. Adams Lake. A motion was made and carried that the Secretary Call the townships and wards. This was done and the committee credentials retired in order to report upon them. On motion John c. Grannie delegates proceeded to announce the names Candi dates. The following names were announced g. Riddle Reuben Hitchcock P. Spaulding James Mason Edgarton Moses Hill n. W. Goodhue j. P. Robison. On motion the convention then adjourned until 1 clock p. Afternoon session. Convention was called to order at half past one clock the chairman . Hammond. The committee credentials made a report. There were two contested delegations one from Kirtland Lake county and the other from Olmsted Cuya hoga county. The com Mittee reported that messes. C. G. Crary and h. G. Tyon were duly elected delegates from the township Kirtland Lake county Aud should be admitted to seats in this Conven Tion. The report was adopted. The com Mittee also reported that John Wright was duly elected As Delegate from Olmsted and is entitled to a seat in this convention. B. Loomis was elected but resigned. His resignation was accepted the meeting but the vacancy was not filled. The report was adopted. On motion the Delegate from Olmsted was powered to fill the vacancy choosing a Democrat according to the suggestion the committee. He appointed. B. Loomis Olmsted. On motion the convention adjourned to Brainard Hall in order that they might ave comfortable seats. On reaching Brainard Hall the Conven Tion was again called to order the chair Man. Bernard Summit. It was moved and adopted that each town ship and Ward delegation be empowered to fill vacancies. On motion Secretary Palmer called the Roll delegates to ascertain whether they were All present not. They answered to their several Calls.
