A Call up to fight Western Forest fires along with injuries or illnesses has Clearfield Borough operating with a Skeleton Street Crew reported Borough operations manager Leslie Stott at thursdays committee meetings. Firefighter Thomas Evans who is a member of the Street department was recently called up to help fight the Forest fires out West. The Borough also lost two More members due to non work related injuries or illness. To make up for the shortfall Stott is asking the Borough to hire Jim Spencer As a part time employee to work for 12 weeks for 32 hours per week. The average daily population was 142. The jail had 19 inmates on Home detention and 15 on supervised bail for a total of 675 Days saved. He also said there Are eight inmates housed in the Centre county jail because the inmate population had exceeded the local jails capacity of 151.
