However he jumped away smartly and in doing so appeared to Cannon into another runner and thereafter never seemed to be properly balanced. Nearing the Post vestige was be ginning to Settle Down properly but it was too late to make any impression on Beverley May but in the last stride or two vestige struggled Home in second place just ahead of pre cede. Sangallo did not take the Lead As he usually does and although Given a splendid opening on the rails entering the straight he was unable to make use of it and dropped Back beaten before the Furlong Post was reached. Then Helianthe swept to the front but was challenged by legion chief and the pair had a game struggle to Tlle Post legion chief on the out Side getting the upper hand Over the last1 few strides., grecian Rule was third and this is the Best form she has shown in Mel Bourne. Sangallo s performance was Dis appointing and although Manito made up a lot of ground from the three Furlong Post he failed to gain a place. Another at 100 to 1 Ita ving Only his second Start Ellipsis scored the third Surprise of the afternoon by taking the Lead some distance from Home and beating Judith Louise narrowly in a Good finish in the second division of the Buxton Handicap.
