Commonwealth of Pennsylvania department of Public instruction Bureau of medical education and lice sure Harrisburg 400 Lincoln bldg., Philadelphia pa., june 6 the 1921. Or. Frank Lehman president Bucks county medical society Bristol a. Dear or. Lehman i have read with interest the publications made by chiropractors in the newspapers of Bucks county most of which Are of the usual Type of propaganda being passed out by Law breaking chiropractors All Over the country with the object of creating sympathy in their Community when any of them Are arrested with the direct object of influencing any jury who May pass upon the facts in their cases if presented in court. Pennsylvania has a Law which licenses chiropractors to practice legally in Pennsylvania. This Law provides for certain standards of xxx education which standards Are equal a to those of the requirement for the practice of osteopathy and therefore can Only be considered fair and reasonable. The Bureau of medical education and lice sure has licensed Many men and women to practice chiropractic legally in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and these people Are now practising under the Law having fulfilled the requirements. Anyone practising chiropractic in Pennsylvania without a License from the state is doing so illegally. Ile or she either does not posses the required qualifications under tilt a or they Are so ignorant that they realize the fact that they could not stand the test demanded by the state and therefore have not applied xxx tor a License. A this Bureau never prosecutes any xxx chiropractor or member of any cult xxx practising Medicine without the cd clearest proof that the individual is practising fraud on the Community and doing serious injury to its citizens. Any statement which is at variance with the above facts coming from any source whatever is untrue and in making such statement the individual is either ignorant of the truth or fully aware that he is making a misstatement. The statement in the papers that Pennsylvania refused to establish lice sure for chiropractors at the recent legislature is a falsehood put out by chiropractors. The facts Are As follows the Pennsylvania legislature said a be have already established a method for lice sure of chiropractors and we will not take the administration of that Law out of its present hands and put it in the hands of those who Are commercially interested Iii the results. Very truly yours j. M. Baldy president. Bureau of medical education and lice sure.
