Wife of Hugh m. May passed away with her family at her Side on thursday october 23. 2008 at the Brandon regional health Centre Brandon at the age of 69. Donna was born August 25, 1939 in Holmfield. Manitoba and was raised in Killavey alongside Many cherished life Long friends. And extended family members. Donna was always driven and Independent and during her Early years she worked for the Imperial Bank of Commerce and the ramp. In 1959, Donna married her High school sweetheart with whom she lovingly shared her life and family with. All five of their children were born in Virden. In addition to raising and caring for their family Donna also volunteered in Many Levels of Community the dinettes club. Camras a Volunteer at the merry Manor residence and within her children a schools. Her generous and caring nature shone through All aspects of her life and touched Many. Donna. Hugh and family moved to Brandon in 1980 where Donna returned to the workforce in 1983 at Mckenzie seeds and then the Brandon and area planning District working with Hugh until her retirement in 1995. Donna e enjoyed recreational Bow Ling crafting with friends and had a deep passion for gardening. She enjoyed keeping up with Curling Golf and her Favourite hockey teams. She deeply cherished her grandchildren and was so proud of each one. Donna was pre deceased by her father Eddie and Mother Evelyn. She is survived by husband. Hugh daughter Lisa Bob Sanders sons Stacy Tony and Doug Rosa and daughter Erin As Well As her grandchildren Branden. Cait Lin. Devin Derek. Emma. Tove. Liam. And. On october 12, 1946, Isobel and Russel Vandusen were married in St. Paul a presbyterian Church in Hartney. They resided on their farm South of Hartney for 21 years. In 1967 they retired to Hartney. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul a presbyterian Church serving As sunday school teacher choir member and organist until the closing of the Church september 30, 2007. She worked diligently for All organizations for the Church. She was a faithful and hard working member of the Rebekah Lodge serving As secretan for Many years. After the dosing of the Hartney Lodge she remained a member of the jurisdictional Rebekah Lodge. Isobel was very Community minded and worked faithfully for Many organizations. She was always interested in the children of the Community school band concerts and skating and attended As Many of these events As she was Able. Isobel was proud of her Community and was recognized for some of her contributions when she received the order of chivalry from her Lodge she spent Many hours visiting the sick and shut ins at their Homes. Hospital and personal care Home. She was news reporter of the local paper for Many years. She was an ardent Ball fan. She and Russell travelled Many Miles in Summers past to cheer for their favorite teams. In 2006 Isobel and Russell celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a Tea where they received congratulations from friends and relatives.
