Bowie News (Newspaper) - March 31, 1974, Bowie, Texas Driving course the Bowie chamber of Commerce has made arrangements with the Texas department of Public safety to conduct the National safety councils defensive driving course in the Bowie National Bank Gold room starting april 4th. The school will be open to the Public and a fee of $1.75 will be charged to cover the Cost of the course. The principal Driver of a vehicle who completes the course will receive a to percent discount on Auto insurance for three years. The 8 hours of classroom instruction will be divided into three sessions starting april 4th, then on april Lith and april 16th, All starting at 7 00 .
