Arlo Byrum who is a guard there a will be Dean Forward Phillips guard and Jeffries Center and Forward. Captain Byrum has played the varsity for two years and is an excellent guard. Jeffries also has played two years the varsity either As a Forward Center. Dean played his first year at varsity basketball last year. He is expected to make a Good showing the team this fall. Williams is one the Best forwards that Ever wore a Crimson suit and he is expected to strengthen the varsity considerably this year. Indiana will gain a guard As a result the return the Rainbow division from France. George Reed will be eligible for the Quot team and will no doubt prove a Strong contender for a guard position among the men who were used As substitutes last season Are a number who Are expected to make a Strong bid for the varsity this year these men a in six men in track and ten in baseball Are rewarded four in summer school. Hobart Dennis who was a Star the freshman squad 1917, will also be available As a Forward. R. E. Martin Akron o., Winner the inter Allied heavyweight championship arrived from France yesterday. Martin went overseas with the Ohio National guard. He is 20 years old More than six feet tall and weighs 190 pounds. He is anxious to arrange a match with Jack Dempsey. The sensation last weeks sports was the stride that Cincinnati made during the last week nosing new York out first position in the National league.
