I most respectfully suggest and request that the citizens of the various counties in the state recommend to me Wuich gentlemen As they think will attend the convention and represent the interests of their repetitive counties that i May Send commissions to them. A careful and unbiased estimate of what we have accomplished As a state when compared with the e fact treat organized intelligent Effort has Ever b in made to induce immigration to this state strikes us with astonishment. All the surrounding states and territories have devoted a great amount of Energy and. Money toward the building up of their resources while we As a people have made Effort to secure immigration. The time has come when to continue this will be a disgrace to ourselves and state.
