This Day care Centre is located at the Birtle collegiate to accommodate the Day care needs of students with children so they May continue their education As Well As the general Public. Among those in attendance were speakers and invited guests Kathy maker Char who teaches the family studies course at Birtle collegiate Sci. As part of the course practicum the Day care also provides a hands on approach to the course offered to the students at Sci. Day care director Lori Senchyshyn said a few words on behalf of the Day care As Well As Sci principle a1 Bray who welcomed the facility to the High school. Val Thomson who was part of the initiating committee to establish the Day care congratulated the Many people who were involved throughout installation of the facility from the beginning when there was a lot of ground work to the final Brush strokes of paint before it opened. Also in attendance was Donna Magnusson who is the Day care coordinator for the Westman Region through family services out of Brandon. Because the concept of a High school Day care facility is a relatively new concept morning Star Day care is receiving some Media attention outside of the Community. Covering the grand opening and getting general information was Susan proven a reporter for Csc radio. Dwight Stewart was also on hand with the Access Channel 13 camera to cover the special Community event. Chairperson for the Board of directors Candace Bergeson also said few words on the boards behalf. The Centre is running full time now and encourages parents to visit the facility for future or immediate Day care consideration. They have a fully trained staff at the Centre and by the reaction of the Chil. Dren it is evident that they Are not Only competent but Well liked by the kids As Well. The Centre is a licensed facility with subsidization available to those who qualify. The daily rates Are More than reasonable with immediate openings available in both full and part time positions. The morning Star Day care is a warm colourful and Safe environment where children can learn and socialize with other children. The staff Are caring individuals working within a supportive group whose main objective is to satisfy both the physical and emotional needs of the children under their care.
