Biddeford Journal Tribune Sunday (Newspaper) - April 27, 2014, Biddeford, Maine Sunday april 27, 2014community journal Tribune sunday As even i scream for ice Cream Well i think in be told you before How excited food makes me. I get the most excited about human food. Human food just tastes better. So i m a beggar. I sit at humans feet look ing As cute As i possibly can hoping with every bit of Hope that they will give me a bite. Ive Learned to like pizza crust and Popcorn the Best because i usually can get a morsel of those human foods from Mommy. But i done to just beg at Mommy a feet. I beg at her coworkers feet her Bossy feet her parents feet her roommates feet. I basically beg from anyone who i think might give me a bit of human food but especially from Mommy a grandmother. She always caves and gives me something. One human food i know i can cat and often Mommy gets just for me is ice Cream. And it is finally ice Cream season again sure humans eat ice Cream All year round. But when you arc cold during the Winter it s hard to eat something cold like that. When the weather gets warmer though ice Cream is the perfect treat for humans and dogs too. I know it s ice Cream season because it is warmer. I know it s ice Cream season because i hear music playing outside. It s the same song Over and Over again and i recognize it As a song that Means ice Cream is near. As the song gets louder kids in the neighbourhood scream Quot ice Cream truck a i heard that ice Cream truck last weekend. I hoped Mommy would Flag it Down. She was working outside while i was inside. I heard the music get louder and then Start to Drift further away without stopping and i knew she Hadnot flagged the Driver Down and ice Cream was not in my future. It made me sad. Later Mommy took me for a ride which made me happier. Then we stopped at a store and she went inside. I waited patiently in the car. I did t know what she was doing. I hardly understand Why she has to run into so Many stores for things she Calls when she came out she had something in each hand. She put one thing in the front seat and then opened the Back door to show me what she had. It was a Little plastic dish with a perfect swirl of White. I sniffed the Edge of the dish and licked my lips the White was a tasty swirl of ice Cream that Mommy presented to my. It was All mine. She set it Down on the Back scat and i started to lick away. That White Fluffy Vanilla ice Cream was delicious. It was so creamy and cold. It really cooled me Down on a warm Spring afternoon. I did t Stop Licking the bowl until it was All gone which was before Mommy made it Back Home. A was that Good or. Worm a a she asked. I Only licked my lips in reply and she knew that i was a Happy Puppy. Farewell until next time. A Emma Bouthillette is a writer who lives in i tide Ford.
