And while some slight regret was evidenced because the 100 per cent Mark was not reached this regret was Small for the workers voluntarily pledged to go out and get the remaining $5506 and turn it in at one More meeting which has been labelled a mop up report luncheon. This event will be held at noon on wednesday at the masonic Temple. Leader Dies by United presi los Angeles March 6.-Mark l. Requa outstanding California Republican Leader and Friend and advisor of two presidents of the United states died in St. Vincent s Hospital Here today in a sudden relapse following a recent operation. A Leader in the Fields of Oil and politics Requa was brought to St. Vincent s Hospital from his Santa Barbara estate three weeks ago for a major stomach operation. He was reported showing considerable improve career closes ment but last night he took an unexpected relapse and died this morning. A the members of his family rushed Here from Santa Barbara and were present at his bedside at the end. They were mrs. Florence h. Requa his wife her two daughter mrs. The reports not officially confirmed said the agreement was in the form of an understanding Between Henry Morgenthau or Secretary of the Treasury and Premier Leon Blum s government. It was understood that the United states government would not oppose Banks advising clients to subscribe to the loan inasmuch As the Bond would be payable in dollars and Sterling.
