The show will include percussion dance twirling and color guard however Bedford steam focuses on Rifle flags and sabres. According to Shonda Clark director of the senior High and Middle school teams the preview show will allow 40 teams from Pennsylvania new Jersey and Maryland to perform in front of nine judges who will then give them feedback about How they can improve their routine Clark said. First students will be Able to perform their routine in front of the judges and then will have time to improve before the evening show she said. The teams done to a qualify for National Competition but the purpose of the Competition is to obtain a ranking. The director said last year the Bedford team was ranked eighth out of 25. Bedford steam of 12 students will perform in the senior High novelist category Clark said. The team More than doubled in size from last year growing from 5 to 12 team members she said. Some band students joined the indoor guard this year. The indoor guard started in 2006 under the direction of the late Bobby Mellott who died in 2014 following a Long illness. Under his guidance the team qualified for National Competition. Tom Regester a member of friends of the Bedford indoor guard said that although Many teams Are attending not All of them will be performing in the same categories. Some will be competing in dance and while others May compete in just percussion.
