She exhibited and won awards at juried shows in Somerset Bedford Johnstown and Frostburg my. Jeanne supported awards and scholarships for other including a Watercolour award at the Somerset county artists association annual juried show and the Jeanne Berkey Renaissance fund scholarship at Penn state. She and Earl were among the original founders of Laurel arts in Somerset. In 1976, Jeanne shared the award for outstanding person of the year with Judith Musser of Somerset. The award was presented by the Somerset county chamber of Commerce in recognition of outstanding contributions and exceptional service in the Community for their efforts in founding Laurel arts. Jeanne and her husband were also supporters of the Somerset it Junta humane society. She was a member of the Somerset county artists association and the Bedford county arts Council. In 2005 Earl and Jeanne were recognized by Penn state University for their monetary support of the new food science building and for their Many contributions to the Dairy Industry in Pennsylvania. The Penn state food sciences building includes the Berkey Creamery. Since 1975, Jeanne and Earl divided their time Between Somerset and Phoenix Ariz. They enjoyed travel worldwide and Rode motorcycles throughout the us. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
